Employment Pathways Programs; Victoria Police Diversity Program
This was a program developed in partnership with Victoria Police to support the inclusion of Multicultural young people who were in interested in pursuing a career in Victoria Police. This program included addressing barriers to inclusion such as providing preparatory classes, swimming classes, and access to Victoria Police academy facilities and mentors.
This program was designed Incubate Foundation in collaboration Additional critical support was provided voluntarily by Surf Life Saving Victoria and Sandy Guest.
Outcome: 30 participants; 13 applicants; 5 interviewees
Supporters: Surf Life Saving providing free swimming lessons to each applicant indefinitely to qualify for Vicpol Swim test
Incubate paid a retired trainer to train all the applicants for 3 months to prepare for the Vicpol exams
Incubate paid for each applicant to undergo a test exam to see their gaps and then linked them to the newly formed Vicpol diversity program run by AAMEYS, JSS, Victoria University etc.
