This is a community-curated platform, run by a collective of African-Australians. It is platform for stories created, curated by members of the community and hosted by the community. Our aim is to challenge the stereotypes about African Australian communities by elevating our stories with authentic representations that demystifying the perception of our community.

Watu Australia empowers African Australians to share their experiences while equipping them with creative skills and knowledge as well as connecting with industry experts in the creative industry who will provide mentoring and guidance. Our events will provide spaces for people to interact with each other, showcase positive narratives and humanise the lived experience of African Australian.
